Beware of the Fine Print Regarding CRM Enrichment in Database Data Provider Contracts

Data Enrichment is one of TPS’ most popular service lines. TPS can Enrich any existing list or your entire CRM with the exact data you require on each company and contact.

YOU own the data TPS provides, to keep forever and do with as you please.

Unfortunately, database providers have been known to include unfavorable language for their customers regarding CRM data enrichment. In the past, they have requested that if the customers do not renew with them, that the customer must return all of the data that has been enriched in the customer’s CRM. If the data is not returned properly, the data providers have sued their customers, pressuring their business to extend their contracts.

This has become such a contentious and popular topic on LinkedIn recently that we decided to create this article to educate potential buyers of this practice and what to look out for.

Below are a few screenshots of this topic being discussed on LinkedIn and on other review sites. We blurred out the data providers’ names because we are not trying to call out any singular data provider in particular, but just keep people educated and informed on what to watch out for.
